Just got this recommmendation from some sellers and buyers who fit in all of those categories!! I listed the childhood home of a great past client, Maricel Buenaventura and her siblings’ Ricky Capil and Lailia Bamba in Daly City and helped Richard, Laila and Ricky find a great home to purchase in Fairfield closer to their family. We should be closing escrow this week!The house I am helping them to buy was actually a For Sale By Owner. YEs, that’s right, a FSBO! I help my buyers loook at and find the right home for them regardless of whether it is listed by an agent on the MLS. WHo is paying my commission for this purchase? The Seller. Most people do not realize that a homeowner who has their home listed for sale by owner will usually cooperate with a buyer’s agent. By cooperate, I mean that they will let the agent bring their buyer and will actually pay them to to complete the transaction. In fact, they will often even pay the buyer’s agent to represent them and complete all the paperwork if they do not know what they are doing. That is what I am doinng for the purchase of the Fairfield FSBO house. People list ther houses by owner for many reasons (some to save money, others privacy not wanting a bunch of people coming through their house, experienced doing it in the past, etc.) and you have to respect whatever that reason is. Unlike many Realtors and Real Estate Brokers in the San Francisco Bay Area, East Bay, Tri-Valley and North Bay, I am happy to work with For Sale By Owners. This year alone I have worked with FSBO’s priced from $400K to over $2,000,000. All had their own reasons for wanting to not have a traditional listing by an agent that was fine by me. My clients got thee homes they wanted and the sellers did not have to pay a full double commission. Also unlike most real estate agents, Realtors and Broker who tend to focus their business on only one or two cities or towns, I Enjoy Helping People Make Their Real Estate Dreams Come True in most of Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Mateo & Parts of Solano, Napa, San Joaquin, & Other Counties. I f there is an area I don’t feel like I can do a great job for my clients in, I am happy to provide referrals to great agents in other counties, cities and states that I don’t serve.
